This Nationwide competitions aimed at creating awareness (2017) about the legal rights of women play a crucial role in empowering women and promoting gender equality. Here are some instances where such initiatives have been undertaken:

- The Krishnasamy College of Education for women in collaboration with National Commission for Women (NCW) organizeda nationwidecompetition to raise awareness about women's legal rights. This initiative aimed to educate people about the legal provisions that safeguard women's rights and promote gender justice.
- The College conducteda Nationwide Quiz Competition, workshop, seminar to the Students and women’s from nearby villages specifically focused on the “Legal Rights of Women”. This event encouraged students to learn about legal frameworks and protections related to women's rights
- The National Commission for Women regularly extends financial support to the college to conduct Legal Awareness Programmes. These programs enable women and girls to understand their legal rights and access legal systems effectively.
As per the direction of the National Commission for Women, (NCW) New Delhi through the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Puducherry, and The Krishnasamy College of Education for Women, Puducherry organized the project Awareness about the Legal Rights of Women- 2017and received Rs.28,500/- with the fund sponsored by NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR WOMEN, New Delhi.

PROJECT 2: NATIONAL LEVEL LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME (LAP 2019)
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has been actively involved in promoting legal awareness and empowering individuals, particularly women, with knowledge of their rights and remedies. One of their significant initiatives is the Legal Awareness Programme (LAP), which aims to educate and sensitize people about various legal aspects.
The Krishnasamy College of Education for Women, Puducherry organized National Level Legal Awareness Programme (NCW-LAP 2019) was conducted on 4th March 2020funded Rs. 90,000/- by National Women Commission New Delhi for the academic year 2019-20.
The LAP module covers essential topics related to legal awareness. Some of the key areas include:

- Women and the Indian Constitution: Participants learn about fundamental rights and other constitutional provisions relevant to women.
- Major Women-Related Laws: The program educates individuals about legislation designed for women’s welfare and security.
- Justice Delivery System: Participants gain insights into the various organs and mechanisms within the justice system.
